This is me 2014

New year, new start: This is me 2014

With the year drawing to a close, we’re thinking about New Year’s resolutions. Making them is one thing, sticking to them is another. Sometimes, we need all the help we can get.

So we’ve created a brand new quiz, This is me 2014. It can help you to set, track and achieve your ambitions to create the life you really want.

With busy schedules, our long-term goals often take a back seat. This is me 2014 can help you put your New Year’s resolutions top of mind all year long, and could give you a little extra push to get things done. What’s more, it’s fun, free and quick to do.

How does it work?

Simply answer a few short questions about your life and your aspirations. This creates your vision of 2014 – a colourful collage of your goals and dreams that will inspire you all through the year. It’s a snapshot of your ambitions, homing in on what’s most important to you, from career to family to your love life and more.

You can do away with those hopeful lists scribbled on January 1st that are out of sight, out of mind by Twelfth Night. Your vision of 2014 is very much meant to be seen and, if you feel like it, to be shared too.

Keep your goals in sight

Once you’ve got your vision, there’s so much you can do with it. Share it with friends via email, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest or Tumblr. You can even use your vision of 2014 as your Facebook cover photo. By sharing your goals, your friends can spur you on when you need an extra hand.

Or why not print out your vision of 2014 and put it on your fridge door? Or frame it and hang it somewhere prominent. As the year moves on, your vision of 2014 can remind you of everything you’ve set out to achieve, as you put your plans into action step by step.

Maybe you want to take your career to the next level, or buy a house, or be more spiritual or cut down on chocolate. Whatever your New Year’s resolutions, This is me 2014 could help you get closer to making them happen. And as 2013 slips away, it’s the perfect time to create your vision of 2014. Start today and see where it could take you. Here’s wishing you a very Happy New Year.

It’s pretty good, however 1 part seemed a bit limited in choices, I picked the astronaut on one part simply because it was the closest to what I wanted to try (astronomy is 1 of the things I’m into). And my result doesn’t give much about career (chose nothing the first time then tried again with training and there was no difference). As for the part about holding back isn’t myself related to procrastination and fear of failing? As for embracing opportunities I put the quiz on personalitycafe and it said the same thing in everyones result, is that how it’s supposed to be? If so why? Also I didn’t see anything about video games.

I found out there was a career result (seeing what someone else got), still I kinda like long results.

Hello, thanks for your feedback. Let’s look at each point you made one by one…

      > It’s pretty good, however 1 part seemed a bit limited in choices, I picked the astronaut on one part simply because it was the closest to what I wanted to try (astronomy is 1 of the things I’m into).
With this question, we weren’t able to include everything that people would want to try so the choices represent different personality types for example, creative, analytical, scientific and so on.

      > And my result doesn’t give much about career (choice nothing the first time then tried again with training and there was no difference).
This quiz touches on different aspects of your life and we’re sorry if there wasn’t enough focus on career for you. We are working on a dedicated careers quiz so watch this space! This is me 2014 is about getting you to think about what you want in 2014 and helping to encourage you to take action. We hope that the whole process will be a time to reflect.

      > As for the part about holding back, isn’t myself related to procrastination and fear of failing?
You’ve made an interesting point and it’s good to hear how you see things. The beauty of our quizzes is that the images are open to interpretation so that people can pick responses that are meaningful to them. Perhaps the images for this particular question didn’t resonate with you as well as we would’ve hoped.

      > As for embracing opportunities I put the quiz on personalitycafe and it said the same thing in everyone’s result, is that how it’s supposed to be? If so why?
This section about embracing opportunities was an inspiring quote from our CEO, and we wanted to share it with everyone. We want people to take the time to embrace life and not to feel held back by everyday constraints.

      > Also I didn’t see anything about video games.
We’d be interested to hear what you would have liked to have seen about video games?

Do you feel we’ve answered your points fairly? We appreciate your feedback – and we’re working on new quizzes all the time so we hope that you’ll be interested in trying them as they come out.

Let’s see, gaming is something some people do a lot of so it could’ve been something someone would wanna do less of. It also could’ve been something where someone would be happiest.

Great idea, we hadn’t thought of that! Perhaps you’ll see it in our next quiz. It’s hard for us to cover everything but we’re always trying to improve, so thanks for your input.

I can’t find the in-depth personality quiz so I’ll put out a complaint about it here. I was sent a part 2 to my inbox and the link goes nowhere.

Hi Josh, we’d like to look into this for you – can you send us more precise information on the problem please? Then we can figure out what to do. Many thanks.

      • Josh - 5 years ago

I took the visualdna personality test and a while after I was sent a part 2 to my inbox.

        • Josh - 5 years ago

Oh and the person who sent it to me was someone named Anna.

          • Victoria Room - 5 years ago

Ok, we think that you might have opened up an old email. In the past, our Personality Quiz was split into two parts, with Part 2 being sent by email as a link. This link no longer works as the quiz is now taken in one go. If you’d like to, we suggest that you retake the Personality Quiz in order to get your detailed feedback. Hope this helps.

I already took it, and more than once, I just didn’t know it was changed a while after getting a part 2.

          • Victoria Room - 5 years ago

Unfortunately we didn’t make it clear that the quiz had changed, and sorry that the link we sent to you didn’t work. We still hope you enjoyed the quiz though. Fancy sharing your feedback with us?
